Let’s face it, there are lots of healthy side dishes you can serve with pasta. Fresh vegetables, a salad, sunshine – all of these fit the bill. This is not one of those. If you are after butter, cheese, garlic, and herbs on a loaf of bread then this is the side for you.*^*
You can whip this up once you have the ingredients on hand while your main course is cooking. It is super easy, and can be prepped ahead of time and baked while you cook your main. If you are serving this with pasta (I pair this with my Tarragon Pasta or anything I make with my Sausage and Meatball Casserole) then you probably have most of the ingredients on hand and prepped anyway. If you include cooking time, you can have the whole thing done in less than twenty minutes.
Think cheesy, garlicy, buttery goodness. Done in 20 minutes. And it’s incredibly easy. And your kids will eat it. All of it. Trust me.
PS – Leftovers generally go to the parents in our household. Gotta eat something during cleanup, right?
