Anna and I have been together for several years now, and wanted to share some of our favorite things – adult beverages and delicious food.  I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years, and have been cooking since I was six when my cousin Chris taught me how to cook a grilled cheese sandwich (still one of my favorite meals).  My cooking interest really took off while travelling to Chicago with my father where a kindly chef taught a young me how to make veal piccata – as well as give me his recipe.  To this day, I can remember how shocked he was at this young kid wanting to know all the details – and I imagine he never expected me to go home and cook it for my family a week later.

Since then, I have continued to learn the craft of cooking and have even dabbled in home-brewing beer (although our children have put that hobby on semi-permanent hiatus).

My wife is the one who handles most of the baking.  Cookies, cakes, pies, and various breads and other delicious things all fall under her jurisdiction.
